Overview
Dan Standish identified the Schubert vineyard—planted in the mid-20th century by the Schubert family on Roennfeldt Road, Marananga—as a site of exceptional Barossa character and structure. He named this flagship Shiraz “The Schubert Theorem” to reflect the methodical way he parcels, ferments and selects each block, combining them much like the steps of a mathematical proof. True to his “New Barossa” ethos, Standish honours the vineyard’s ironstone-rich soils and old-vine intensity while applying a scientist’s eye to barrel selection, ensuring only the most expressive casks form the final blend.
