About
Annonce, the "second wine" of Chateau Belair Monange, is crafted with the same care as the Grand Vin. Produced in limited quantities, the wine is the result of meticulous vineyard work and a manual harvest at optimal maturity. Belair-Monange is named in honour of Anne-Adele Monange, mother of Jean-Pierre Moueix and grandmother of Christian Moueix. Since taking over in 2008, the Ets. Moueix team has implemented more stringent vineyard selection, reduced yields, and introduced optical sorting to produce exceptional wines.
Tasting Notes
What a lovely red-cherry and pomegranate nose this medium-bodied, elegantly structured St.-Emilion has. Very fresh finish with plenty of chalky minerality that builds on the long, clean finish. An excellent food-wine. Second wine of Bélair-Monange. A blend of 97 per cent merlot and three per cent cabernet franc. Drink or hold.
