Overview

Wild Duck Creek Estate, situated in Heathcote, Victoria, is a small family-run winery known for its exceptional wines. The 2016 Ducks & Drakes blend is crafted from 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Shiraz grapes sourced from their Northern vineyards in Colbinabbin. This wine is noted for its vivid red colour and lifted aromas of black fruits and tobacco.

The winemaking process includes fermentation in open fermenters with gentle hand plunging and pumping over to extract optimal flavours. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels, which adds a layer of complexity and depth. The result is a full-bodied, luscious wine that embodies the classic characteristics of Heathcote wines.
