About
Great value can still be found in Burgundy! Saumaize-Michelin is a 9.5 ha estate located in Vergisson. They switched to Biodynamics back in 2005 and place great importance in the maintenance of the vineyard’s bacterial life and the management of flora and micro flora diversity. The estate sits upon a diverse mosaic of soil and rocks which winemaker Roger Saumaize expresses through the different bottlings. - Importer Note
Tasting Notes
A citrus and vaguely exotic nose consists of apple compote, white peach and a top note of honeysuckle. There is once again fine mid-palate density to the sappy medium-bodied flavors that are also supported by lemon-tinged acidity on the delicious, saliva inducing and very dry but not really austere finale.
