About
The Reine Juliette estate is 100ha but only 20ha planted to Picpoul, the family are keeping their yields comparatively low at 55hl/ha, and are one of the key producers moving Picpoul into future with high quality and more conscientious vineyard work. One of the most distinctive things about the wines of Reine Juliette is that they are 100% estate grown and bottled. Most Picpoul comes from a co-op that custom labels different cuvées for a multitude of importers. The Carignan comes from marl and red clay soils and is vinified and aged in concrete for 6 months prior to bottling, and offers pure red fruited drinking pleasure. - Importer Note
Tasting Notes
Weight and flavour here. Softness, clarity, stone fruits and ripe citrus. Green apple too. Nice powdery finish in the mix. Has lots of character and a sense of deliciousness.
